3rdAsian Directors Golf Tournament Jointly Organised by Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability
3rd Asian Directors Golf Tournament was played at the Willingdon sports Club Mumbai, which was organized by Asian Center For Corporate Governance & Sustainability on on Saturday 19th December 2009. This was third year in continuation that this tournament was organized. Every year this tournament is connected with the International Conference on Corporate Governance & Sustainability, which is supported by Institutes of Directors from Asian Countries like Singapore, Hongkong, Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand. Directors of Several nationalities like Japan, Singapore, America, Europe & South Africa brush shoulders with the high-powered Chairmen, MDs, CEOs, Directors, CXOs & CFOs from Indian corporate world. Mr Humayun Dhanrajgir – Member, Global Advisory Board, Asian Centre For Corporate Governance & Sustainability hit the first tee off with his four ball comprising of Pradeep Chinai, Mita Gowande & Madhup Vaghani. Participation was by invitation to maintain a certain quality of participation. Lady Golfers like Sangeeta Kataria, Mita Gowande, Radha Shah & others mingled with men Golfers after the tournament over drinks & Lunch. Indian Corporate world was well represented by Rudy Singh of Hindustan Unilever, Pramod Bhambani of Siemens, Dilip Dandekar of Camlin Ltd, Sandeep Gill of Delloitte, Arvind Jolly of Jolly.
Sangeeta Kataria, Director Methodex Ltd, was the proud winner of 3rd Asian Directors Golf Tournament and took home the Gorgeous Golden Rolling trophy along with a Winner’s Crystal Trophy, which will remain in her proud possession and adorn her shelf. Mita Gowande as runner up acquired second beautiful trophy in crystal.
‘Longest Drive’ prize went to Rudy Singh from Hindustan Unilever at 290 yards, Closest to Pin’ also went to Rudy Singh who placed his ball 2 feet from the pin. Awards were presented by Mahendra Chouhan, Vice Chairman, Global Advisory Board, Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, and Mr Arvind Jolly, Past president IMC. The Golf tournament committee comprised of Mr Humayun Dhanrajgir- Member, Global Advisory Board, Asian Centre. S.K.Mitra, Pradeep Chinai, Dilip Dandekar & Dinesh Lal & M.K.Chouhan.
